Teachings on
"The Precious Treasury of Pith Instructions"
(Man ngag rin po che'i mdzod) 
with
Khenchen Pema Sherab

The Precious Treasury of Pith Instructions, one of the major works of Longchenpa, the Omniscient Sovereign of the Dharma (1308-1364) is the shortest of the seven texts of the “Seven Treasures” cycle, and the only one composed entirely in verse. Longchenpa exposes the principles underlying the entire range of Buddhist practice in more than 400 stanzas, each consisting of six instructions or pieces of advice. Khenchen Rinpoche will be teaching every morning with the exception of Sunday 15 July and Sunday 22 July. Beginning at 09h30, Tuesday 10 July.

The teachings will be given in Tibetan, translated into French. An English translation will be provided if necessary.

Contribution (without meals and accommodation) : entire teaching : 300 € ; partial : 20 € / day

As the previous years, our lamas wish to devote the time available to a retreat in which teachings will alternate with periods of meditation practice. While it would be best to attend the sessions in their entirety, the retreat is open to all and everyone is encouraged to attend as much as they can.

The teachings will take place at La Sonnerie and will begin at 09h30, Saturday 28 July.
The rest of the programme will be announced as events proceed.

Droupchen

Neten Chokling Rinpoche, Ogyen Topgyal Rinpoche, Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche, Tsetrul Pema Wangyal Rinpoche, Tsawa Rinam Rinpoche, Khenchen Pema Sherab Rinpoche, and the Lamas and monks
of Pema Ewam Cheugar Gyurme Ling.

The lamas and monks will perform the various stages of the ritual with chanting, music and sacred dances. Everyone can take part, by joining in the recitation of the mantra, which will continue day and night, or by helping with the various daily tasks necessary for this type of elaborate practice.

This event will be organized by the Association Cultuelle Guiana Kara. This association, regulated by the law of 9th December 1905, was created in 1992 upon the initiative of our masters to preserve the spiritual aspects of their activities (the practices, the ceremonies and the buildings related to them).

The Drouptchen will take place at the Domaine de Lembrun 47110 Le-Temple-Sur-Lot

Shamatha retreat
(calm abiding meditation)

Responding to many requests, our teachers have agreed to lead a retreat on calm abiding meditation (shamatha), in the spirit of those they have been leading in Portugal for several years. This retreat is open to all, beginners or long-time practitioners.

This retreat will take place at Domaine de Lembrun, 47110 Le-Temple-Sur-Lot.
It will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday, September 15, 2018, and end on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 around 5:00 pm.
It is mandarory to attend the entire retreat.

Nota : At the request of our teachers, and because of the high demand in relation to the number of places available, people who attend the shamatha retreat in Portugal are requested not to register for this retreat in order to leave space for the people who can not go to Portugal.

Cost for the entire retreat  : 200 € (accommodation and meals included)
